Building Our Own Legacy Since 1977.

In 1939, Mamie and Gene Arnold founded the original Arnold Oil Company in Corpus Christi, Texas. Soon after graduating from Baylor University in 1976, their grandson realized the opportunity and need to expand operations by opening his own facility. In 1977, Jim Arnold opened the doors to Arnold Oil Company of Austin with one other employee, two vehicles, and minimal inventory. Now, four generations later, both of Jim’s children, Ashlee and Jayson, are actively involved in the business.

During the 1980s, Jim added an automotive equipment division and began acquiring independent auto parts stores, and thus A-Line Auto Parts was born. Jim knew that the future success of the company was contingent upon his customers’ successes, which meant continually finding solutions that led to customers’ profitable growth. The Arnold Oil family of companies has since added an outdoor power equipment division in addition to providing bulk fuel sales and delivery. They have expanded their product lines and service territories, eventually growing to more than 40 locations across Central, West, and South Texas.

Because Arnold Oil is dependent on the sustainability of vendors, customers and industry partners, Jim’s commitment to quality throughout the industry led him to chair and actively serve on many industry partner and vendor councils to ensure the best service and products could be provided to Arnold Oil Company’s customers. Over the years, Ashlee and Jayson have also become actively involved in the greater industry. They continue to be involved in decision-making processes while always looking to gain knowledge of different ways to provide enhanced solutions to industry-related problems.
